REACH YOUR FULL POTENTIAL.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

Our Talents

QC Sports represents some of the most talented baseball players in Major League Baseball, helping them succeed and reaching their full potential.

Pedro Strop

Pitcher

Pedro Strop is an American professional baseball player born in the Dominican Republic. In the 2008 MLB draft, Strop was drafted by the Texas Rangers and then made his major league debut in 2009.  Since then, he has joined the Baltimore Orioles, the Cincinnati Reds, and most notably, the Chicago Cubs. In one of the best moves in the long, storied history of the Chicago Cubs, they traded Steve Clevenger and Scott Feldman to the Orioles for Jake Arrieta and Pedro Strop.

Strop not only became a leader in the Cubs' clubhouse and a favorite among fans, but he  also developed into one of Chicago's top bullpen arms in club history. In his seven-year run with the Cubs, his 120 holds are the most in team history. Pedro ranks second in strikeouts per nine innings (10.3), strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.89), and third in ERA (2.90) among Cubs relievers with at least 350 career innings.

Among the most memorable moments  of his seven-year run with the Cubs was his 2016 World Series outings where he allowed no runs in three games. Consequentlythe Chicago Cubs became the 2016 World Series Champions, ending the franchise's 108-year drought.

In 2019, Pedro Strop was named one of the top Cubs players of the decade.

Ketel Marte

Second Base

Ketel Marte is a professional baseball player for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Born in the Dominican Republic, Ketel was signed by Seattle as an amateur free agent in August 2010 at the age of 16, and made his professional debut in 2011 for the Dominican Summer League Mariners.

In 2012, Ketel moved to the United States where he hit .247 in 65 games in the Northwest League. By 2014, he had played in over 370 games hitting a combined .304/.335/.411 with 32 doubles, 79 runs scored and 55 RBIs. He was named mid-season and postseason All-Star in the Southern League that year. In 2015, Ketel was the starting second baseman and lead-off hitter for the World Team in the 2015 Futures Game. He got the call from the Seattle Mariners three weeks later, and made his major league debut on July 31, 2015 starting at second base in place of Robinson Cano, who was sidelined with an abdominal strain.

Ketel was acquired by the Arizona Diamondbacks in a five-player trade on November 23rd, 2016, and has since become a formidable clutch player. In the 2016 Wild Card Game, he went 3 for 5 with a pair of triples, scoring and driving in a run. In the Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he went 4 for 12 with a homer and 3 runs scored. He hit 26 doubles, a National League-leading 12 triples, and 14 homers, scoring 68 runs and driving in 59. On June 2nd, 2019, he hit his 14th homer of the year, matching his career high for a full season. This was the famous blast off Steven Matz of the New York Mets that traveled 482 feet, matching Nomar Mazara of the Texas Rangers for the longest homer hit in the majors thus far that season.

Some of Marte's other career highlights include winning the 2017 MiLB Organization All-Star with the Arizona Diamondbacks, 2018 NL Triples Leader, 2019 NL All-Star, 2019 NL Player of the Week, and the Diamondbacks MVP Award in 2019 with 30 home runs.

Yoan Moncada

Third Baseman

As one of the top young baseball players in Cuba, Yoan Moncada defected to America in 2014 looking to join the major league.  In 2015, the Boston Red Sox offered their #1 top prospect a signing bonus of $31.5 million, which at the time was the record for an amateur talent. He was voted the organization's Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball America and named to the World team in the 2016 Futures Game, in which he won the Larry Doby Award as the game's MVP.

On December 6, 2017, Yoan was traded to the Chicago White Sox for pitching ace Chris Sale. In 2019, Yoan had his best Major League Season where he batted .315 with 34 doubles, 5 triples and 25 homers, scored 83 runs and drove in 79 RBI’s in 132 games. On March 5, 2020, the White Sox signed him to a contract extension for five years and $70 million, with options that can make the deal worth $90 million.

In addition to his stellar career, the White Sox third baseman released his song "Desastre Personal", featuring Moncada, Lenier and another Latin star, and El Chacal. His debut single was released along with a music video in February 2021, and came in at No. 25 on Billboard’s Tropical Songs chart two weeks in a row.

The Future Prospects  of Baseball

QC Sports is committed to building the careers of young, talented baseball players, including some of the most promising minor league prospects in the game.

Every year, QC Sports joins the International signing period and the U.S. MLB Athletic draft, the most anticipated and exciting days of the year, attracting some of the best baseball players from around the world and bringing them into baseball's professional game. We don't just want to create a new group of talent that is just as good as the other teams in the league. We want to create a whole new level of talent that nobody can touch.

BRAND CREATION AND MANAGEMENT

Professional baseball teams and minor league baseball players need to be mindful of their branding and public image, as these things influence how people think and talk about them. A large portion of a team’s branding is done by its player development staff. Planning out marketing campaigns for each player goes a long way in building a positive brand for both the team and individual players.
